· Johnson Controls Metasys® Building Automation System is the foundation of modern building energy management efficiency. This intelligent, world-class technology system connects your commercial HVAC, lighting, security and protection systems – enabling them to communicate on a single platform to deliver the information you need, allowing you to make smarter, savvier decisions while enhancing your occupants’ comfort, safety and productivity.
· The Metasys building automation system is the foundation of modern facility management – delivering industry-leading capabilities with bottom-line benefits including optimisation of daily operations, energy use, to increase productivity, simplify compliance and reduce costs. Flexible Metasys architecture and energy strategies can scale from a small office building to a skyscraper or multi-site campus.
· Johnson Controls offers a wide range of system software, field equipment controllers and ancillaries to support the Metasys® system
· Johnson Controls FAC Series Advanced Field Equipment Controllers feature a real-time clock and support time-based tasks – enabling them to monitor and control schedules, calendars, alarms, and trends – typically for air handling and central plant equipment. FACs feature the ability to continue time-based control and monitoring when offline for extended periods of time, and they can operate as stand-alone controllers in applications that do not require a networked supervisory device or for network applications where it is preferred to have the scheduling, alarming, and trending performed locally.
· IOM Series Controllers are Input/Output Control Modules that integrate seamlessly into your web-based Metasys® system. Input/Output Controllers can serve in one of two capacities – when installed on the SA Bus of an FEC, FAC, or VMA, IOMs expand the point count of these controllers.
· Johnson Controls building automation Metasys® FECs (field equipment controllers) feature 32-bit microprocessors, patented continuous tuning adaptive control, peer-to-peer communications, and an optional built-in LCD screen user interface. Ideal for a wide variety of building management applications, our full line of FECs combined with proper Input/Output Modules (IOMs) include functions that range from simple fan coil control or heat pump control to advanced central plant management.
· Metasys® software functions as a complete family of systems and servers designed to work together as one cohesive unit that helps your building energy management efforts. Proven reliable for even the most demanding applications, Metasys® software is made up of various components that provide coordinated control over your building’s systems. Choose from options like our Application and Data Server/Extended Application and Data Server (ADS/ADX), Open Data Server (ODS) and Advanced Reporting System (ARS). The Johnson Controls Metasys® Application and Data Server/Extended Application and Data Server (ADS/ADX) is an optional component that brings an entire new suite of technologies to your system. The Metasys® ADS/ADX manages the collection of large amounts of trend data, event messages, operator transactions, and system configuration data. This server provides site unification, advanced reporting, a simple and intuitive user interface, and a hierarchical network view of the entire system for all connected devices, which allows for efficient control of energy usage, quick response to critical conditions, and optimization of automation strategies.
· Johnson Controls Metasys® continues to spur the evolution of BMS graphics. Metasys® offers graphics in three formats: standard graphics, advanced graphics, and Graphics+. Standard Graphics is the default package used to design graphics in a scalable, vector-based format. Advanced Graphics Application is for more advanced graphics, like those with animation and changing colours. Graphics+ graphics are designed with the Graphic Generation Tool (GGT) – a powerful diagramming tool that helps designers create compelling representations and bind them to data objects.
· Metasys® software functions as a complete family of systems and servers designed to work together as one cohesive unit that helps building energy management efforts. Proven reliable for even the most demanding applications, Metasys® software is made up of various components that provide coordinated control over building’s systems. Choose from options like Application and Data Server/Extended Application and Data Server (ADS/ADX), Open Data Server (ODS) and Advanced Reporting System (ARS).
· The Johnson Controls Metasys® Network Automation Engines (NAEs) deliver comprehensive equipment monitoring and control through features like scheduling, alarm and event management, energy management, data exchange, data trending, and data storage. These tools help lower efficiency costs for literally any building. With an embedded Site Management Portal user interface, Metasys® NAEs can support multiple concurrent web browser sessions with password and permission access control. Even further enhancing their IT compatibility, the NAEs employ standard IT security best practices.
· The Metasys® Network Control Engine Series controllers provide cost effective solutions designed specifically for integrating central plants and large built-up air handlers into existing Metasys® network. Johnson Controls NCEs combine network supervisor capabilities and IP network connectivity with the I/O point connectivity and direct digital control capabilities of a Field Equipment Controller – making NCEs the ideal choice for expanding and improving your Metasys® installation to get better data visibility and more control over energy usage.
· Metasys® Network Integration Engines fulfill a critical role as web-enabled network controllers that use the latest advances in information technology to ensure the Metasys system easily integrates and connects to the expanding world of browsers and remote operations centres. NIEs transfer point data from one or more Network Communication Modules to seamlessly provide alarm management, event management, energy management, and trending, scheduling and data sharing capabilities.
· Johnson Controls VMAs are designed to provide the best control for Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes. With 32-bit processors, our VMA16s and VMA1832s are programmable controllers that can switch between MS/TP and N2 Communications protocols. Featuring a digital pressure sensor and a damper actuator, VMA16 controllers come in a small package that facilitates quick field installation and efficient use of space.
